God is in the business of taking children from “basket cases” to redeemers and transformers of society!
In Exodus 3:2, the bible relates a story of one of the heroes in the Old Testament by the names of Moses. Born with a death sentence – along with the other Hebrew boys- from an insecure monarch, the chances of him ever growing up, late alone become something where very slim . Every male Hebrew child born was supposed to be killed at birth in a massive national extermination campaign against the growing population of God’s people in Egypt.
Against all odds, Moses Mother saw something beautiful in Moses worth risking their lives for. After secretly keeping him for three months, she finally couldn’t keep him any longer. She improvised a basket of bulrushes and tar and set the baby afloat the river Nile. God took it up from here. As God would have it, the powerful princess of the land happened to come by the Nile for a swim. When she saw Moses, had pity on him and took him up as her own adopted son! His name literally means “taken out of the water”
God is in the business of taking children out of the waters of poverty, disease, ignorance, failure that keep plaguing society. But someone has to make a basket for them and i would like to refer to that basket as education, formal and informal.
To make baskets is our part, but to make redeemers and transformers is God’s part. God has a way of taking fragile human steps taken in faith and using them to achieve incredible feats in his kingdom.
I want to focus on the basket making, which is our part. We must make every effort to make education baskets for our children. Education is such a powerful tool to get our children to a secure future. For higher chances of success in life, we need these three,
i) Knowledge
ii) New places,
iii) New people.
Knowledge
Education equips our children with new knowledge that they need to be successful in life. While knowledge is great, its not enough, we need to educate our children with godly values.
New places. Education will take our children to new places. As it were with Moses, his chances to become the redeemer he became were enhanced by him going to a new place where his talents would meet opportunity. It has been said; “Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not..” Education gives children a chance to go places where their talents will meet opportunity.
New People.
No one makes it by themselves in life. The basket of education will sail children to new people! We need people, new connections and relations in order to succeed. Excel kids Academy is just about this, weaving a great education academy in a wonderful environment for our children!

Take care of infrastructure needs and General welfare. With more than 30 children at the center now, we are quite overwhelmed with our current infrastructure which can only hold about 20 comfortably.
